While Australia is certainly a first-world country, they haven’t yet quite caught on to the whole wireless internet thing.  Therefore, an explaination for my lack of posts and pictures available.

Anywho, our journey has us in Queensland now.  Funny, Queensland is the “Sunshine State” – didn’t we just leave the “Sunshine State”!?  Haha!  We’re in an area called the Gold Coast, and more specifically in a beach town called Broadbeach.  We’re just south of the infamous Surfer’s Paradise area.  We’ve found a little furnished apartment, and it’s about 100 meters to the beach…sweet fo’ sho!  The beaches here are awesome.  I mean, a beach is a beach for the most part, but they really are something here!  We’re within 10 minutes of world famous surfing beaches, so Justin is in heaven.  He’s already managed to surf Burleigh Heads and Snapper Rocks, which is where they hold the Quiksilver Pro.  The atmosphere here is definitely laid back, and the people are incredibly friendly.  Everyone says how damn friendly the Aussies are, and they’re right!

Well, we’ve spent the last few days here exploring the different beaches and towns, and now we’re focused on finding some long-term accomodations and jobby-jobs.  Not quite as fun as hanging out at the beach, I know.
